Delete your TailStash account
This page explains how to delete your TailStash account and what happens to your data.

Delete from the app (fastest)
- Open TailStash and go to the Profile tab.
- Tap Delete Account and confirm.
Your account is deactivated immediately.
Delete without the app
If you no longer have the app, email contact@stollix.com with the subject "Delete my account", sent from the email address you used to sign in (your Google or Apple account email). We may ask you to confirm the request to verify you own the account, then we will delete it for you.
What happens when you delete your account
- Your account is deactivated immediately and enters a 30-day grace period. If you change your mind, sign back in within 30 days and your account is restored.
- After 30 days, your account and personal data are permanently deleted: your profile, username, profile photo, and notification token are removed.
- Notes you sent to other people remain visible to their recipients, but are no longer connected to you: they are shown as coming from "Deleted User".
- Purchase and accounting records are retained for 5 to 10 years where tax and accounting law requires, then deleted or anonymized.
- Residual copies in routine backups are overwritten within a short period.
Subscriptions
Deleting your account does not cancel a Premium subscription. Cancel it first in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings, otherwise you may continue to be charged.
